Sports Leagues and Clubs

Blind River prides itself on the many extracurricular activities that keep us moving with each season. There are sports leagues and clubs for all ages, interests, and skill levels. Join a team or club, register your child or check out a local game or event.

Tennis

An upgraded Tennis court will be the new home for this popular sport in our community. Blind River Tennis Club memberships can be purchased from Marcel Jacques at A Barrel of Goodies, 7 Woodward Avenue, Blind River. The email for the Blind River Tennis Club is blindrivertennisclub@gmail.com

Pickleball

An upgraded Pickleball court will be the new home for this popular sport in our community. Blind River's Pickleball Club meets year round. The indoor season is from October to April, and the outdoor season is from May to September.

Public Skating

We offer scheduled public skating in the winter months and encourage anyone to come out, regardless of age or ability. Public skating takes place at the Blind River Community Centre.


Curling

Find both social and competitive play at the Blind River Curling Club. View our different leagues, event calendar and sign up as a new member. Check out our Facebook page to meet other members.


Hockey

From our Junior A team to our minor leagues, Blind River has something for all hockey players and fans. The Blind River Minor Hockey Association hosts youth hockey for all skill levels. The Blind River Beavers play in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL). View their game schedule and get tickets to watch a home game and support our local athletes.


Figure skating

The Blind River Figure Skating Club offers a variety of performance and development programs for children and youth. Check out their Facebook page to learn more about programs, view upcoming events, and register your child.


Cross country skiing

Explore our extensive trail systems with the Blind River Cross Country Ski Club and learn how to join.


Canoe and kayaking

The Algoma Paddlers Canoe and Kayak Club explores the waterways of Blind River, Elliot Lake and the Algoma Region. View the club calendar and upcoming events and check out their Facebook page to learn more about canoeing and kayaking in Blind River.


Soccer

The Blind River Soccer Association offers organized soccer for different ages and skills levels. Visit their page to learn more about leagues and registration.


Minor Baseball

Cycling

Blind River is lucky to be located on both the Trans Canada Trail as well as the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail. We are proud to care for a section of Canada's largest trail!

Snowmobiling

Winters transform Blind River and it a stunning ride. Directly on the OFSC (Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs), our trails will link you to endless lakes and picturesque scenery. Staging is welcome at the Blind River Visitors Centre. 

Martial Arts
