Paying Property Taxes

We offer three convenient types of pre-authorized tax payment plans to pay your property taxes. These plans automatically withdraw money from your bank account to pay your property taxes owed. Please complete the Payor's Authorization for Pre-Authorized Debits Form and return it to us with a cheque marked “VOID”.

10-month plan

With this plan, your annual taxes owing are withdrawn on the fifth day of every month over 10 months, from February to November.

12-month plan

With this plan, your annual taxes owing are withdrawn on the fifth day of every month over 12 months.

Instalment plan

With this plan, your annual taxes owing are withdrawn four times a year on the instalment due dates.

You can pay your property taxes through our secure online service portal. Visit the portal homepage to learn how to register and view your accounts.

You can have your Canadian bank submit your property tax payments for you. You can make payments with your bank online, over the phone or in-person. A banking fee may apply. Please allow enough time for your bank to make payments to us by the due date. Contact your bank for more information.

Please make all cheques payable to the Corporation of the Town of Blind River. Include your remittance stub or ensure your roll number is written on your cheque.

We accept in-person property tax drop off payments by cheque, cash or debit card at our municipal office at 11 Hudson St

Please make all cheques payable to the Corporation of the Town of Blind River.

Cheque payments can also be left in the drop-box by the front door of Town Hall. Please include your remittance stub or ensure your roll number is written on your cheque.

Please do not leave cash in the drop-box.

We accept property tax payments by e-transfer to etransfer@blindriver.ca

Please include your roll number in the memo field.

We accept property tax payments by credit card using our online payment system. All credit card service fees will be displayed and must be paid by the cardholder at the time of payment.
