Fire Department

The Blind River Fire department provides 24-hour emergency response services to our community. The department is made up of a full-time fire chief and several volunteer firefighters. We work with vehicles and equipment including:

• One pumper truck
• One 107-foot aerial ladder truck
• One combination tanker-pumper
• One rescue truck, used for auto extrication
• One four-by-four utility vehicle, used for bush fires

Please be advised that our volunteers have no set schedule for working hours and are on call 24 hours per day to respond whenever available. We schedule regular training sessions every second Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
