Student Arena Worker

Job Summary:
An outgoing and service-focused part-time position, the ideal student-candidate will be the welcome face to skating events. The ability to collect information in regards to the number of skaters etc, as well as collect entry fees to the arena is required. Shifts include light tidying of your work area at shift-end.
   
Job Responsibilities:
• Collect fees for skating events at the arena; ability to make change accurately
• Ensuring ticket counter is free of clutter, and welcoming
• Friendly, and encouraging to kids participating
• Set up a table with information in regards to kids, exercise, nutrition, and habits as the information becomes available
• Explain the information if asked by a child or parent
• Mop puddles caused by snow or spills in welcome area
• Wipe counter at shift end
• Check restrooms to ensure paper is filled for users
• Be available for events (scheduled in advance) involving the arena and child-focused projects
• Bring items to school to your Principal or Secretary if we generate awareness items
• Report any health and safety items to Senior Staff.
• Wipe windows on entry doors as needed to ensure cleanliness

Rate of Pay:

Requirements:

The successful candidate must be enrolled in either secondary, or post-secondary learning. A clear criminal background check is mandatory.
