The Finance Department is responsible for the financial well-being of the Municipality, through the provision of effective and reliable financial advice, services and information to Council, staff and the public. The Finance Department oversees the expenditure of Municipal funds through the annual budget process.

Other functions of the Finance department include:

  • billing and collection of revenues
  • accounts payable
  • purchasing goods and services
  • controlling inventory
  • payroll and human resources
  • property taxation
  • treasury services
  • budgeting
